Mystical Unicorn Dildo
Explore a new horizon in sexual wellness with the innovative Scorpion Sex Grinder from Hankey’s Toys, a non-penetrative sexual health toy designed for all types of pleasure; a symbol of empowerment and a testament to the importance of catering to all aspects of sexual health and satisfaction.
The Scorpion Sex Grinder
This is my second review for Hankey’s Toys and my appreciation for their quality and design remains steadfast. These are well-made, hand poured toys with carefully crafted details for maximum pleasure. Not only do their toys come in a huge variety of designs, the size and texture variations mean that no two need be the same, so you could build a fabulous silicone collection within this brand, alone. To say I’m a fan is an understatement, and the Scorpion Sex Grinder did not disappoint.
Your Saddle Awaits
The Scorpion Sex Grinder comes in two sizes: a flat, hand-held version, and the taller, more substantial ‘saddle’ version, shown here. I’m new to grinders in general, but I couldn’t resist the sit-upon version and I’m glad I went for it because it’s a ton of fun. Since it’s a solid wad of silicone, it’s nice and heavy, and it feels very sturdy and ‘present’ when straddled. It won’t collapse or buckle, it keeps its shape and delivers ridges of texture against the vulva, mons, and inner thigh. If you get the position just right, the little stinger can add sensation between your cheeks and against the anus as well. You can choose the colour and hardness. I opted for extra firm, in purple.
My Experience With The Scorpion Sex Grinder
Real talk: I’m not much of a grinder, historically. Some people love to hump and grind and rub their way to orgasm, I tend to be a bit more specific and localized, more clit-centric. Nevertheless, I was intrigued by the detail and texture of the Scorpion Sex Grinder. Let’s be honest, the look of it is very eye-catching and it ignites the imagination. But how well does it work?
Every body is different, and every user of the Scorpion Sex Grinder will be unique, but for my body, it works perfectly. The Scorpion Sex Grinder is designed to be straddled, like a bicycle seat. You’re meant to lower your body weight onto it and make direct contact between your genitals and the ridges of the scorpion’s back, head and tail. Like any toy, as you use it, you’ll find the “sweet spots” and how to best use it for your body. I found that where I was using it was as important as how I was using it. For instance, on soft surfaces like a bed I found it more comfortable to use with a pillow beneath the grinder to raise it up a bit, so my knees didn’t have to be as wide. On a chair, the pillow is unnecessary, but it’s less about straddling, and more about positioning it beneath you in a way that works. Setting the Scorpion Sex Grinder on the flat edge of the bathtub is very effective as well because it allows you to make contact in a supported crouch position instead of kneeling; a helpful option for those among us with knee issues.
As for the details and texture, I commend the designers at Hankey’s Toys for extending the scorpion’s legs down the side of the grinder, and for crafting the bulbous claws so flawlessly. These details, in high relief, provide stimulation and variety for the upper thighs and labia. The back of the Scorpion’s head and the grooves of its mandibles are a perfect target for the clit, curving up to align with it on every downstroke. Half the fun of the Scorpion Sex Grinder is learning how each part of it affects you as you move against it. Truly a toy that needs to be experienced to be understood.
Things To Know About the Scorpion Sex Grinder
- The saddle style Scorpion Sex Grinder, seen here, is quite an active toy: you get on it and move against it. (I imagine that the handheld version would require less rigour, but it could also be straddled if it was positioned properly.)
- I found that the best, most pleasurable results came from hard grinding with lots of your favourite lube, so if straddling or kneeling is a challenge, the hand-held version may be a better option.
- The Scorpion is non-penetrative, but can be used with penetrative toys like dildos.
- It’s great solo, but also a really fun object to incorporate into partnered play. Grind on it and give them a show, get low on it, doggystyle, and grind while your partner enters you or provides oral stimulation.
Bang For Your Buck
I’m really happy with this grinder and all of its details. It is a pleasure to use, a very good value, and it makes an unusual and interesting addition to your collection. The Scorpion Sex Grinder is regularly priced at $112 CDN or $70 USD. Given that it’s a door stopper sized chunk of silicone that will last a lifetime if properly cleaned and cared for, exquisitely designed, it’s a great value.
And don’t forget: All of Hankey’s Toys are handmade in the USA from 100% body-safe silicone. Each colour is hand mixed and the toys are individually hand poured. Fun fact: all of Hankey’s Toys are vegan!
10/10 Will Ride Again
I’m very pleased that I took a bit of a risk and went a bit out of my comfort zone with this one, because it was so worth it. I feel like this toy is great for building confidence and balance for sex positions where the person with a vulva is on top. It’s also great for stamina and a great way to learn more about what works for you in those positions. I heartily recommend the Scorpion Sex Grinder, especially for vulva owners who want something beyond penetrative or vibrating sex aids. The Scorpion really puts the focus onto the process and crescendo of orgasm which I found very affirming and enjoyable, making it just as much about the journey as it was about the destination.
This fabulous Scorpion Sex Grinder was sent to me from Hankey’s Toys in exchange for an honest review. Thanks, Hankey’s!
