“It takes courage to push yourself to places you have never been before… to test yout limits… to break through barriers.

And the day came when the risk it took to stay tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Anais Nin

This month’s Sinful Sunday prompt encourages unedited images. I’m ashamed to say how hard this was for me and how much I rely on filters to adjust and improve images I take, including ones of myself. Nevertheless, I was inspired by others’ images to rise to the challenge, so I’m using an untouched image; a full nude, imperfectly lit, quite poorly composed within the frame, but raw and honest in its imperfections. I try very much to write that way, to make art and love that way: raw and honest. So here I am, imperfectly, perfectly me.
I’m Violet, nice to meet you.

  1. I think this is absolutely gorgeous. You look amazing in this. There is something about the bent leg that I find really sexy but also that legs somehow speaks to a confidence and a pride.

  2. This must be rather terrifying and I think it’s brave. Not because of the way you look but because it’s so scary for you. I like that you share yourself so honestly through your writing and now here. That in itself is already beautiful, and then there’s you!

I'd love to hear your thoughts ...
