It couldn’t be easier: on the first of the month, each month, I will share a blog post containing 9 big sexy words and their definitions, along with examples that use them in an erotic context. Feel free to use the words and phrases as writing prompts or simply as a resource to bolster your vocabulary and add some new words to your already brilliant writing ideas.
If you use these big sexy words, (and even if you don’t!) feel free to link up your post(s) at the bottom of this post.
February’s Big Sexy Words
This set of nine words will be right at home in your smutty stories this month, because the February words are all related to the two great muses of the erotica writer: Love & Lust. With St. Valentine’s Day in the middle of the month, it’s a no-brainer to use words that describe and express the pulse of desire and longing that unites us all. To love and lust is to be human and to be human is to create, so go forth and multiply your vocab with these nine hot, sweet and sticky words to get your blood pumping and your words flowing.
Type | Word | Definition | Example |
noun | tempest | a violent storm | Decades of longing had made a tempest of my love, an all consuming cataclysm of the heart. |
adjective | engorged | swollen, as if filled with fluid | Our lips were engorged from hours of eager kisses and bites, a subtle but delicious nod to our mutual desire. |
verb | covet | a strong or obsessive desire to acquire or possess something | Luca reasoned with himself that it was better to covet Joshua from a safe distance than it was to disrupt his happy marriage to Soren. |
verb | suffuse | to spread or permeate | Collette yearned to watch the blush in in Jane’s cheeks suffuse and crawl down the slope of her neck and disappear below her collar. |
noun | paramour | a lover, particularily of an extramarital relationship | Exhausted by the thought of another sycophantic paramour, Dr. Shahzad deleted the app and sighed as she answered her husband’s text: home soon, don’t wait up. |
adjective | dewy | characteristic of dew; freshly dampened | Reaching between their own legs was a comfort, something about the smell and dewy sweetness of their cunt made everything momentarily feel okay. |
adjective | pliant | pliable or impressionable | Walking into the converted church, Warren could feel himself already giving over to the energy of the ceremony. His body and mind felt pliant and hungry for the pain and control he would face when he reached the altar. |
noun | fervor | intense or passionate feeling | Your fervor is no match for my belt, Little One. |
noun | seraph | an angelic creature of the highest order | Six foot seven in thigh high boots, Rex was a formidable character; both sinner and seraph, and he wielded a bullwhip like no other. |
