I was quite excited to try the Broad City Vulvarine when I read that Pink Cherry would be sending me one for review.
I Was Excited About The Vulvarine Vibrator For A Number Of Reasons
- I’m not well versed in the world of “rabbit” style vibes
- The name! I literally LOL’d at “Vulvarine”
- I liked the youthful, irreverent packaging and colour. It feels like the get-it-done vibe of a loud and proud, liberated vibe using 20-something.
The Vulvarine Vibrator does everything it should and is “as advertised”. Sadly though, this toy was not a good toy for me.
My Experience
Let me start by saying that The Vulvarine is a totally fine vibe. It’s powerful for it’s size, it’s quiet, it’s well made, but it just didn’t work for my body. It’s interesting because I think it’s easy to presume that all vibes and dils are one size fits all or that every style is compatible with every vulva and vagina. I have loads of toys and I had never stopped to think that some just aren’t going to be a “good fit” even if they do, technically, fit.
For me, nothing about the form of the Vulvarine Vibrator worked for me. It was too hard and it didn’t hit me in the right spots. If the head (not bulbous enough) was on my g-spot then the rabbit didn’t align with my clit. If the rabbit was on my clit, the shaft was jabbing into me at an uncomfortable angle. I also found the rabbit’s buzz, not matter the setting, quite aggressive – and I’m someone who likes the big, powerful wands. It was a bit sharp feeling vs being a comfortable, stable buzz. It really was just not a fit for me at all.
The Pros
- Well made with premium silicone
- Easy to operate
- Powerful for its size
- Dual motor, multi function
- Aesthetically pleasing
- USB rechargable
And Cons
- Only 2 speeds
- I found the “rabbit” too short and at the wrong angle for clit stim
- Very firm and unyielding
Overall Rating
Sad to say, but the Vulvarine Vibrator is not a Fawkes’ Fave because I didn’t have an awesome time with it. If you love rabbit vibes and are accustomed to them you might love it!
